In class this week, we'll be discussing the notion of "Me++" - how the individual is extended by network technologies and digital communities to be a part of something bigger.
How does the idea of Me++ relate to ubiquitous gaming, or games in general? Is every game -- even non-digital ones -- a kind of network? Is every player a Me++? Discuss!

I think the idea of the networked individual does apply to ubiquitous gaming. The players in ubiquitous games often physically rely on networking to share information to achieve a common goal, but they are also networked as an entity that moves and acts as one. The player vs non-player is where the network breaks down in many games.
To group a cluster of me ++'s and give them all a specific task, they will use their individual resources and network automatically. The question then becomes how do you get other individual networks (me++ non players) to collaborate on the goal of an ubiquitous game ?
The answer may lay in the individual network's ability to seek out other networks. In other words, game designers should take in to account that player will introduce new players to the game and we should think about how to exploit this to better the game.
The b[est games are those that evolve.
